Hawaiin Haystacks

1 Cup Chicken Broth

1 Can Evaporated Milk

Mix all together in Crockpot and cook Low 6-8 hrs. High 4-6

Well since i have not updated in almost 5 months i should tell you all what we have been up to! chris and i are doing great and very happy starting up a new business and playing outside as much as possible before winter hits. This summer we got new bikes, yes i got a beach cruiser i have always wanted!! and chris got a cycling bike. we have gone to Cali a couple times, Vegas and New York. I had another miscarriage in August so we are now seeing a fertility specialist to try and get us a little one here to stay! life has been tough, but its not supposed to be easy all the time right. The holidays are coming and thats my favorite time of the year so i will try to be better at updating this blog! i am going to try and put a new recipe up every week so take a look! i love to cook and i hope you will enjoy them as much as i do! Lake Tahoe 2009

The Clawson family vacation. Lake Tahoe, the whole family went up there on Sunday and chris and i met up with them late wednesday night. It was kinda cold and Rainy but we still had fun! we went site seeing and played ping pong, and got in the hot tub most of the time it was a short trip but lots of fun! I was so happy to be able to see my brother Jeremy! i have not been able to see himsince i got married caiue he lives in California. Had lots of fun here are the pics!

Chris's Brother Kenny Graduated from Redlands University with a Masters in Art! we are so proud of him. The Suttons, Cloughs, Ken and Chris and I all surprised him with a visit to support him at this special time, he was so shocked! We had a lot of fun and were able to meet Kenny's Girlfriend Kris and her kids, Sammi and Corey. We had so much fun with them. We went to the graduation, beach, lots of yummy restaurants and just hung out at Kenny's house. We love you Kenny and cant wait to come visit again!!

Partoun, Utah???

so, has anyone ever heard of Partoun, Utah? well last weekend chris and I got to experience it first hand!! A man that lives there saw Chris's ad on KSL and called him to come and upgrade him so we start driving. to get there to go to Nephi and get off the 2nd exit then you go through town towards Delta then you come to a gas station along te way named B & D's Hip Hop Stop, which by the way they have amazing grilled cheese if your ever passing throuhg! also you know those Frooties tootsie roll candies that you cant find anywhere? um ya they have huge bags there so we got watermelon and strawberry! anyway back to the point of this so you get to this powere plant not to far from there called IPP and then go 40 minutes west and i mean we are thinking we are lost cause as far as we can see all around us there is nothing so when we get to the sign we are looking for we turn left and go 50 miles on a dirt road!!! ya i mean this place does not exist! so we get there and people really live there popluation 26 i think! smallest place i have ever been! they have a school with 1 teacher for the town and 12 kids ages k-12! wow! but the people wew super nice and friendly just make sure you have food water and gas cause there is not a gas station or grocery store for 100 miles! and on the way home it was dark and we are on this dirt road with no cell phone coverage and all the signs and turns look differant to us and we have a half tank of gas which would get us home but if we got lost we might be screwed due to the fact that it was -9 degrees out there!! interesting day we had but always worth the money!!!

Merry Christmas! i hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas, mine was amazing! We started a new tradition this year with my family for Christmas Eve we had a big lunch with turkey and ham sandwiches and lots of salads and treats and then we played some games and did our gift exchange. This year i had my mom so i made her a magnet board and mod podged some paper that matched her sewing room and put some cute letters that said Stitch and made a bunch of magnets, she loved it. She had me and made me a cute hat and scarf and got me a cake stand! yeah i needed one! so anyway then later that night we went with Kristy and Jesse and her family to the movies and we saw 7 pounds, ummm..amazing i cant say anything about it but it blew me away and i highly recommend it! then we went to the wright's for pj's, such a fun night! Christmas day, woke up to a blizzard first off and no power. We woke up about 8 and opened all our gifts it was a blast and i got the Wii Fit, it is so awesome! then we went over to the suttons for some breakfast and to see what Santa brought them. we made it home through the storm and the power was back, thank goodness cause it was getting cold in the house, and then we got stuck playing with the wii until we had to get ready to head back over to the wrights for some lunch and more gifts! the day was so fun and relaxing, couldn't have asked for more! i just wanna say thanks to everyone for such a great chritmas and all the gifts love ya!

O Christmas Tree

The tree is up! this year i did my tree a little different. Once again with the help of Jess Lavin i got this amazing tree! I love it! there are giant presents, trees, extra large bulbs, and some joys! so fun!I dont ever want to take it down! Thanks Jess!!!

I am obsessed! i freakin love twilight! so all my sister in laws, there moms, my moms, and tons of friends all went to the midnight showing of Twilight and had a blast it was so much fun and i saw it again the next week i love it. i had to go out and buy the soundtrack that next day and it is the best it has not left the cd player! i was not a big fan of edward at first but he really grew on me and he is so hot now!

Oh My i love Carrie Underwood!!! she is my favorite! so very funny story, i am all depressed cause i didnt get any tickets to her show and i just got home from work when my friend Shanna text me and said i have some extra tickets if you want some! so i text her back and was like give me 2 so i start calling people and the show starts at 7:30 and let me remind you that it was 7:15 when i got the news. i ran upstairs and changed so fast and got in the car and was calling people started with the people i knew were obsessed with her to! umm...no one could go! they just got out of the shower or they were sick, didnt answer! ya i called almost everyone i new, and chris couldnt go cause he had some friends already on there way over for the night! so the time gets to 7:40 and i am freaking out i start crying, i know thats embarrassing, cause i wanna go so bad but i cant find anyone, i called and my brother finally said that he would go with me so i go and pick him up and then right after that my friend terah calls she got off work late at the ER and i told her and she started to freak so i took my brother back home and picked her up at the ER doors and we were off to the show scrubs and all!! so we get there run in and made it there before she even came out! it was amazing and she is so freakin pretty!! i love her and we had a blast!!!

so life has been a little crazy and i finally had to get on here and update! so since i have not updated since before halloween i have a lot to share!! so we will start from the beginning! so Halloween yeah so happy it is here! i love halloween it is my favorite! so we did some pumpkin carving with terah and brian jones and for halloween we went to the wrights and had a little family party YAHBADABADOO!!! yes we were Fred and Wilma Flinstone! we had so much fun we took all the neices and nephews trick or treating and ate lots of yummy treats! at work is is a tradition that we all dress up and take pictures! yeah! good times!!

Wow! did you ever think i would make another post? it has been a long time since i have been on here but i am glad to be back! well not to much has been going on just work and hanging out! i have been doing some little crafts though! i have made some cute magnets for the fridge and my friend jess called and said hey do ya want to paint your sewing room? ya she is amazing and the best friend ever! i love her so once again like the rest of my house she helped me paint it and came up with the cute stripe idea i didnt get any decorations yet but i want to do turquoise with the brown and tan! so here were some of the photos from that day it was a lot of fun!

OUR SAD LOSS

So after our wonderful day at the temple we got pictures and then went to dinner. chris and I had a hotel to go to that night for our anniversary and as were driving home i just was not feeling good and i just wanted to go home! my mom said that she would watch our dog for us so we took her right over. I had some spotting but very slightly tinted so everyone said that was usually normal, but around 4:30 a.m. i had a misscarriage. we had our cries and my mom came over in the middle of the night, it was so sad and i was in so much pain. i was able to go to sleep kinda for just a few hours then when we were up in the morning chris took me to Jordan Valley Womens Center because the pain just got worse and we wanted to see if i was ok!! they did a external and an internal ultrasound and there of course was nothing there not even the sac. i was sent back up to Dr. Barney and he had me go to the lab for some blood work. they tested for my blood type and my HCG levels. Later, they called me with the results and had found out that i have A- blood which means that i have to have the Rhogam shot, and that is most likely why i miscarried. so i went in for that and they said my HCG levels were at 1,000 something which is what it is when your 6 weeks pregnent, so i have to go back in for more tests on thursday (tomorrow) to make sure that they are going down like normal. We are so sad about our loss but we are glad that we are getting it figured out. We will try again as soon as we can and let you know.

Sealed for Eternity

well the good news about this week is that on Thursday August 21st Chris and I were able to celebrate our 1 year anniversary and be sealed in the SLC Temple for ETERNITY!!! it was the most amzing experience that i have ever been through! I am so happy and excited that i will be able to be with him FOREVER!! Chris is such an amazing guy! He has been the best husband and best friend that i could ever ask for. some of you dont know chris that well but i can tell you that he would do anything for anyone. He is so giving and thoughful in everything that he does. I have never met anyone like him and i am so lucky that he is mine! Happy Anniversary I love you Chris.

What a Week (bad news)!

Well this week has been both the best week in my life and the worst week in my life! let me just begin, so I made my wedding dress a year ago for the wedding and because we were getting sealed on the 21st i took it to the cleaners to get cleaned, a week later i went to go pick it up and it was ruined!!! they had melted my entire dress! i juat started bawling like crazy and asking how this happened it had been cleaned before and nothing had happened! i said this was so expensive and i designed and made it myself this is 100% silk and it is ruined it looked all marble and veins all over it and it was so thin. the owner of the cleaners said oh it was 100% silk? um ya he had cleaned it in the washer with water and it was so bad! so after my mother in law and sister in law and mom and husband all came down and were so furious with the man he said he would pay to get it fixed and that he had insurance, so i got on the phone and called Nancy Barrus who i had interned with down in provo she makes custom wedding gowns and i told her the situation and said to come down right now. My mom and i drove down and i tried it on and it is 2 inches from closing it had shrunk so much and so she said they would have to make me and entire new dress just the same but start again. She called in 5 people to come in and work all day and night to get this done! by the time we got home that night we had 20 minutes to get ready and get to the temple for our endowments! they were amazing! and the next day i was down in provo all day getting fitted and they were working like crazy! by 12:30 a.m. i was on my way home with a dress! i am was juat so sick about the whole thing i mean i had put 3 months into my dress and so much money! it was my master peice! the best thing i had ever made!

Were Expecting!!

We just found out that our family is about to get bigger! We are having a BABY!!! and we could not be more excited! I am only 7 weeks along, but due to the fact that my husband is so excited everyone in his family found out the day that we did! it sure was funny to watch them try to pretend that they did not know! i got my hair done the day after we found out and because Chris told me that he told his brother Jesse i new that my sister-in-law, who does my hair, already new. The normal topic of conversation was always if i was pregnant yet or not. We talk about everything and it had never come up i was trying to make her sweat a little! it was a fun little game i have to say!! anyway at least i got to surprise my parents. It was my family reunion up at Lilly Lake in the Uintas this past week and we were up there for 3 days and my parents stayed for the week. They new that i was late already but when they got home Chris went over to help them unpack and he told them that i started! my mom felt so bad she called me at work and said she was so sorry! i invited they over for dinner cause they were tired and i had the table all set and on their chairs i had little bibs that said, "I love my grandma" and "I love my grandpa" they were so excted but very confused it was fun!! we are so excited and cant wait!! Jessica Lavin came to my work that next day and brought me one of those willow tree statues of a prego woman and a card it was so cute and so thoughtful thanks jess your the best!! anyway we could not be more excited i will keep you updated with the latest pictures of the baby bump and such!!

so this last week was my family reunion with the Clawsons up at Lilly Lake we have been going there my entire life it is always so much fun! this last time we had a new game it was called CORNHOLE!! haha i know the name is so funny but it is a game like horse shoes kinda but there are two boards that have a hole at the top and each one is place like 20 feet apart then you take a bag full of corn and try to toss it in the hole for 3 points on the board is only 1 anyway it is so much fun!! we played that most of the time along with other games, lots of walks, jump rope, fires, the usual! it was a blast it was nice to see all my family we have people that come from Tennessee, Arizona, Idaho, California, and all over Utah the whole camp gound is just our family it couldnt get any better!

Cali! we had so much fun on our vacation that we recently went on to california with chris's family, we went down to go visit his brother Kenny and his family.Kenny's house is like staying at a resort first off! swimming pool, hot tub, outdoor gas fire place, horse shoes, pool table, you name it! we had so much fun just being there at the house and visiting, but we also got some Disneyland and Huntington Beach in. The Suttons and Freemans wanted to take there little ones there for the first time and so we had to be there to see how amazing it was to them! there were some tears!! Mindi had never been either and when we got there Minnie Mouse was standing at the front gate. Maddi and Jackson were just so excited and Mindi lost it! it was the cutest thing! we hit up all the rides that we could and went over to california adventure too! i dont really have to explain to much that disneyland is just the most amazing place in the world not to mention that it is the place that we got Engaged! there on the storybook boat ride in front of the castle with the fireworks going off behind it. WOW!!.

The kids played in the sand and caught sand crabs, good times!!!! the trip was a blast cant wait to go back!!

Happy Birthday to my lover! we had a way fun day for Chris' birthday. i got up and made him a fancy breakfast with a omelet and fruit, then we went golfing with Robby Seim and my mom 9 holes we had a blast! everyone was playing great! chris has a hard time being serious in pictures as you can tell! ha ha, so then we went to his favorite place new york philly steak sandwiches! and back to the course for another 9 holes. you can see that this is his favorite thing to do! GOLF!! he had to take his new putter out though that he got for his birthday! so anyway then we went shopping with the gift cards and money that he got, then off to tepanyaki for dinner
and of couse we got some cold stone after! I love you and i hope you had a great birthday! thanks for all you do for me you are the most amazing person and i am so happy that i get to spend the rest of my life with you forever! love ya!

Today was my dad's birthday 59! wow he is getting old! HaHaHa...
Chris took him golfing this morning and they had a awesome time. The whole family got him a golf cart! he has wanted one so bad. He is so excited, he plans to get a little trailer that will hook up to the golf cart so he can drag his little boat to daybreak to go fishing! he is so cute!
we had alot of fun the golf cart will not be ready until tuesday, so i got online and found a picture of a golf cart and took it to kinkos then made a huge poster and hung it on the wall, then we blind folded my dad and told him we were playing pin the tail on the donkey. He almost died when he saw what he was going to get! so the night went well.

I am now a blogger! but not much had happened in the last little while! we are going to California in a couple of weeks with the family it will be so much fun. We are going to stay with chris' brother Kenny he lives in Highland, California. We are Going to go to Disneyland, of course, and the beach it will be a blast! We are just working hard and hanging out!
